Magic Man Detroit-Style With Beans

This is pretty much the same as Magic Man Detroit-Style No Beans Chili, so read the review there. The only difference here is I don't get that cocoa flavor, replace that with bean flavor.

Ingredients: water, prepared pinto beans (pinto beans, water), protein matrix (water, pea protein, rice protein), olive oil, modified food starch, less than 2% of: onion powder, salt, cocoa powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, spices, paprika, tumeric.

National Coney Island Chili Sauce

I just did a review on Magic Man Detroit-Style No Beans Chili which is manufactured by the same company. This one is similar. Kind of smells like Hormel coming out of the can, comes out easily. The other one has no meat in it, but this has beef. I like the flavor and texture better. It's not spicy or salty at all. Has a very mild flavor. This one comes in smaller cans, which is a good serving for one or two people and a few hot dogs. Some Walmart's carry this and I'd choose it over other store brands.

Ingredients: water, beef, cracker meal (bleached wheat flour, salt), natural flavors, spices, textured vegetable protein (soy flour), salt, modified food starch, paprika, tumeric.

Thick consistency, but easy to shake right out of the can. Looks and smells like Hormel chili, but there's no meat in it. Kind of bland tasting. Not salty at all. Some bites are super bland, some you get strong notes of cocoa, and some you get cocoa with a slight heat in the background. This ranks slightly above store brand chili sauces, but see my latest review National Coney Island Chili Sauce which is made by the same company and I like better.

Ingredients: water, protein matrix (water, pea pea protein, rice protein), modified food starch, olive oil, less than 2% of: salt, onion powder, cocoa powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, paprika, spices, tumeric.

Momma K's Meat Hot Sauce

I've got a cold, so my sense of taste is clouded a bit. I was hungry, though, so I made this. Take this review lightly until I get another jar when I'm feeling better. Soupy consistency and gritty texture. Slight tomato flavor, good heat but not too spicy. It's not overly complex in it's flavor. The allspice blends in nicely with the other spices. Cinnamon takes a back seat. I wouldn't even know there was honey in here if I hadn't read the ingredients. I honestly think it needs a touch more salt. Good sauce.

Ingredients: ground beef, tomato sauce (tomato puree (water, tomato paste from vine-ripened tomatoes), less than 2% of salt, citric acid*, onion powder, garlic powder, dehydrated bell peppers, natural flavors, *naturally derived), water, honey, less than 2% of green peppers, onions, worcestershire sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, water, corn syrup, salt, caramel color, sugar, spices, anchovy (fish), natural flavor (soy), tamarind extract and soy lechithin), crushed red pepper, sodium acid sulfate, garlic salt (salt, granulated garlic), dark chili powder (chili peppers, cumin, oregano, garlic, salt), onion powder, allspice, cayenne red pepper, cinnamon.
