Costanza Sausage Hotdog Mustard

 

I absolutely love the packaging on this one. It's vibrant (much like the product inside) and made me want to try it as soon as possible. This is one bold tasting mustard with a lot of flavor. It's sweet, slightly spicy, and tangy. I'll definitely be ordering more of this. It makes me want to make things for dinner just to eat this. I'll probably try it on a sandwich tomorrow.

Costanza Sausage Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce

 

I tried their Rochester Meat Sauce first. This one is milder and less tangy. It's also darker in color, thicker and less oily. This one is closer to a traditional chili sauce. There's no stuff like allspice, cinnamon, or cloves in here, but does contain worcestershire that the other one does not. I like this one better, but it could use a little more heat.

Ingredients: ground beef, tomato sauce (tomato puree (water, tomato paste from vine-ripened tomatoes, water, less than 2% of onion powder, garlic powder, citric acid, dehydrated bell pepper, natural flavors), onion, cayenne pepper sauce (aged cayenne red peppers, distilled vinegar, water, salt, garlic powder), worcestershire sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, water, corn syrup, salt, caramel color, sugar, spices, anchovy, natural flavor, tamarind extract, soy lecithin), chili powder (chili pepper, cumin, oregano, salt, garlic powder), mustard (distilled vinegar, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, spices), sodium acid sulfate, water, cumin, salt, celery salt, garlic powder.

Costanza Sausage Rochester Meat Sauce

Spicy, tomato-y, oily, definitely meaty. Meat's the first ingredient. Leaves a tangy after taste in your mouth. Not salty. This has a lighter color than their Coney Island sauce. While I liked this one, having tried so many, it sits in the upper middle of the pack for me. Good enough to come back to, not unique enough to make the top of the list.
